Cashew Gravy
  • 1 c. cashews (washed)
  • 4 c. water
  • chicken-like seasoning (to taste - 1 - 2 Tbsp.)
  • Braggs Amino or unfermented soy sauce (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. liquid smoke (opt. )
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Put 2 c. water in frying pan and bring to a boil.  Blend remaining ingredients till smooth.  On the ingredients "to taste," add the smallest amount.  Adjust when gravy is finished.  Add to boiling water while stirring.  Add water till desired thinness is reached.  Ground sweet basil or savory can be added instead of pepper.  Enjoy
