Low-Fat Patties
  • 4 c. cooked millet or rice
  • 2 c. blended bread crumbs
  • 2/3 c. nuts or seeds
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt or 4 tsp. Braggs Amino or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. sage or thyme

Break up one slice of whole grain bread into five pieces.  Place in blender and blend until fine.  Repeat this step to make two cups.  If using a food processor to make crumbs more bread can be ground at a time.  Chop onions and nuts or seeds.  Mix together all ingredients.
Use large Mason jar lid to form into patties.  Bake on sprayed cookie sheet at 450 degrees for 10 minutes each side.
